Jason Brown is the new president of Oak Cliff-based Dallas City Homes.

The nonprofit community-development organization develops housing for low-to-moderate income residents. It currently currently owns multifamily communities and development sites in Bishop Arts, La Bajada, Trinity Groves, Pleasant Grove and Southeast Oak Cliff.

Dallas City Homes has plans to develop senior housing, as well as “art/culture-based community assets and community gardens.”

“One of my priorities will be taking these projects vertical and continuing to increase the supply of affordable housing for Dallas County,” Brown stated in a media release.

Brown succeeds Karen Brooks-Crosby, who is retiring after 20 years as president.
