Angie Madrid
A Dallas TV station identified the woman who shot herself and her two children Sunday as 46-year-old Angie Madrid.
Madrid died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after shooting her children, ages 13 and 8, at a home in Stevens Park. The children survived, and they are in serious condition at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. They both attend Dallas ISD schools, KTVT reported.
Madrid grew up in Oak Cliff, and a childhood friend says that although she hadn’t spoken to her personally in years, she knew from social media posts that Madrid struggled with chronic illness and walked with a cane.
Madrid also had two adult children who are in their 20s.
