Three people died and two others were critically injured in a street-racing incident that ended in a fiery crash at the Westmoreland/Mockingbird bridge Friday night.

Police say a Range Rover and a Chevrolet Tahoe were northbound on Westmoreland Road over the Trinity River, speeding when they crashed into each other at about 11:40 p.m.

The Tahoe vaulted over the guardrail and crashed into a warehouse, according to traffic investigators. The Range Rover hit two light poles, and both vehicles caught fire.

Three people in the Tahoe died, including two who were ejected from the vehicle. Two people in the Range Rover were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, WFAA reports.
