A murder victim who was found shot to death on Merrifield Road recently turned out to be a 14-year-old girl.
Dallas police found Neveah Foster dead of multiple gunshot wounds and lying in a ditch on South Merrifield Road, just west of Loop 12, on Dec. 15.
A 22-year-old, Tyrone Davis was arrested and charged with murder Thursday in the girl’s death.
KDFW identified the girl and interviewed her mother, Jessica Foster. The mother said her daughter had a mental illness and had run away before. She also told the TV station that a man had threatened her daughter earlier in the week.
