Everything at Oil & Cotton on West Davis is on sale, 25% off, for the rest of this week.

The shop is open noon-6 p.m. Today and noon-4 p.m. Friday and Sunday.

The art school and store purchased a building in a West Dallas quadrangle earlier this year, where women-owned businesses also have purchased the three other buildings.

Oil and Cotton started teaching classes in their new space, at 2313 Beatrice, shortly after owners Shannon Driscoll and Kayli House bought it in August. Their lease on West Davis is up at the end of this year, and their move to Beatrice will be complete Monday.

The two-story former industrial building offers about twice as much space and features a roll-up door in the main room, with a shop that will have self-checkout. There’s plenty of storage space and room for music lessons, as well as an office that is available for sublease.

Harkensback also moved into the Beatrice Street complex, where owner Julie McCullough bought a building after moving out of her Bishop Arts shop. The new Harkensback is chock full of locally made and vintage fashion, gifts and goods. You just have to see it. It’s open noon-7 p.m. today and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday.

The other two buildings in the quad were purchased by women-owned businesses. Pulp Design Studios is in one. And the fourth belongs to photographer Kelsey Foster and floral designer Kate McLeod.
