Bella & Brawn is open in the former Epiphany space in Bishop Arts. The charming clothing and accessories boutique moved from lower Greenville Avenue.
Owner Aimee Hughes (no relation) is a nurse practitioner by mid-week and works the retail business on weekends, so drop in and welcome her to the neighborhood.
Her shop showcases new nostalgic-feeling goods.
Inventory includes cozy, comfortable, classic apparel — spring rompers and dresses and scarves, ruffles, chiffon, pastels, florals with bohemian vibe, a rack of tropical menswear — as well as jewelry, collectibles, home decor, pampas stalks (an apparent requirement of bishop-facing merchants) and pretty things in which to place them.
A stock of vintage vessel candles seems to be the specialty. Precious, perfect presents for a mom, daughter, girlfriend, boyfriend.
Note that I report the above having merely window shopped, perused the Instagram and lightly messaged with the owner, though I aim to drop by this weekend.
Epiphany relocated to Beverly Hills, California right after Christmas.
