This will be the Villas at Western Heights, an apartment complex for seniors, where 80% of homes are affordable.

The project received low-income housing tax credits from the federal government, as well as tax increment financing from the City of Dallas for up to $7.6 million.

The two- and three-story complex will have 130 homes. Twenty-six will be available at market rate, and 104 of them will be affordable, with the following breakdown:

The Villas at Western Heights is expected to cost about $30.5 million to build. The developers are Stuart Shaw Family Partnership Ltd. and Sycamore Strategies LLC.

The 3.86-acre project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
