Volunteers cut out and paint old corrugated plastic signs, such as for political campaigns or the “we buy houses” ones, to make festive lawn decorations.

Southern Hills resident Sara Gradual writes:

This week we have our second annual “Egg Hunt” in which we’ve placed an egg in every yard in the neighborhood to welcome spring, Easter, Holi and Passover. Most of the eggs are made of plastic sign material from recycled campaign signs and the like that were then decorated with paint and cut vinyl, with a few professionally printed eggs as well.

“We’re a bit of a hidden treasure (as far as I’m concerned!) with a diverse and active community,” she writes.
