HopeBoy’s Kitchen is now open at Tyler Station.

Rico Alexander, the food trailer’s founder, adopted a vegan lifestyle about four years ago after both of his parents died, his mother of cancer, and his father from a heart attack.

He started taking care of his health and began documenting his vegan meals on Facebook, gaining a following within his community.

That led to requests for the chef to cook meals, which led to creating a food trailer. His goal is to keep bringing healthy food options to Oak Cliff.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to be here in Oak Cliff, and people are willing to even travel with gas being $4 a gallon,” Alexander told The Dallas Observer

HopeBoy’s Kitchen is open Tuesday-Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 1-5 p.m.

The menu and schedule are posted on Instagram.
