A Winnetka Heights chef and his partners started construction recently on their restaurant in a 91-year-old former filling station on 10th Street and West Jefferson.
Cenzo’s Pizza & Deli is the concept Chad Dolezal is planning for the building, which was most recently a laundromat/taquería/sno-cone shop.
Dolezal and his partners won a zoning case to allow a restaurant in the former Magnolia/Mobil filling station at 1700 W. 10th St. in March.
Since then, they have announced their concept, Cenzo’s Pizza & Pasta, which will sell beer and wine and have an outdoor seating area.
The owners hope to have the restaurant open in spring 2023.
