Oak Cliff’s discount grocery store is back.
A fire in August 2021 damaged the Grocery Clearance Center and forced owner Gary Gluckman to close it for renovation.
He announced on social media that the store on Cockrell Hill at Kiest has reopened.
This is a “soft” reopening, so be patient while they iron out all the wrinkles.
Gluckman first opened Grocery Clearance Center on Polk Street in 1992, selling food that is out-of-date or nearing the expiration date.
The store is open 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday.
