Pop into this new takeout spot in our neighborhood, but if you go, be patient.
Owner Jennifer Lim opened Asian Street Food on Burlington Blvd. near Hampton Road less than a week ago, and she’s still working out systems and staffing.
She is hearing impaired and needs to hire a cashier. For now, order by circling your choices on a paper menu.
Lim’s husband built out this former residential duplex for the restaurant, which has a few tables for those wanting to eat there.
The introductory menu prices a báhn mi with chicken, beef or pork at $6 and rice at noodle plates at $11. Boba, smoothies and Thai iced tea are on the menu as well.
Lim lives in the Stevens Park area, and this isn’t her first go-round with an Oak Cliff restaurant. She was one of the original owners of Chan Thai.
