West Davis at Woodlawn
The owners of El Gordo Seafood are preparing to open an Oak Cliff restaurant at 451 West Davis at Woodlawn, next door to the Luna Metaphysical shop.
A sign went up in the past few days announcing that the establishment, which has a well-loved (based on 70+ Google reviews and a star rating of 4.7) location, a hidden gem some reviewers remarked, at Bernal and Abilene in West Dallas.
Crab leg and boiled shrimp platters, ceviche, tacos, crawfish, micheladas and cerveza — it’s a mouthwatering menu.
Similar fare nearby includes Tacos La Paisanita across the street and Taqueria El Si Hay a few blocks away for tacos. And Sunset Crab for seafood platters. But here, diners will have access to all of it in one spot, plus a full bar (says the alcohol license in the window).
The business’ Instagram indicates a fall 2022 opening.
