Units were dispatched around 4:45 a.m. and found heavy fire coming from the roof of a house at 602 N. Lancaster Ave.

Public Information Officer Jason Evans said the nature of the fire resulted in a defensive approach to suppressing the fire, in order to avoid spreading to nearby homes.

Fox4 reported that at the time of arrival, officials were unable to enter the home to search the home because the flames were too hot.

Evans said the fire has now been brought under control, and crews are on the scene searching through debris.

A cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and no injuries have been reported.
