Ralph Barbosa has been making waves across the Texas comedy scene for years, and last week, he had his moment on the late-night stage.
On Jan. 12, Barbosa performed a five-minute stand up set on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
In his set, Barbosa joked about being a young father to the cheers and applause of audience members.
“He’s walking now, he knows how to ask for food, and I was like ‘dang, I’ve taught you all I can son,'” Barbosa said.

Neighbors might recognize the young comedian from his time working at Oak Cliff Barbers, where he cut hair and still performs the occasional pop-up comedy show.
In an Instagram post, Barbosa described being on the Tonight Show as a “long time dream come true.”
In 2019, Barbosa was crowned the Funniest Comic in Texas. He has also broken into the HBO comedy scene, after winning the HBO & NYLFF Latino Stand-Up Comedy Competition and debuting in the HA Festival Comedy Special, which is streaming on HBO platforms now.
Most recently, Barbosa headlined the third edition of Entre Nos! on HBO.
“I feel like I’m a new employee who just got put to train an even newer employee.”
