Andrew “Drew” Wilborn, 43, was booked into Dallas County Jail on one charge of indecency with a child by sexual contact. His bail is set at $50,000.

Police say they began investigating Wilborn in April 2022 after learning that Wilborn had inappropriately touched a 16-year-old girl who was a member of the church.

In a police arrest affidavit, the victim said Wilborn pushed himself against her backside on two occasions.

“The complainant stated after the incident, the suspect gave her an unwanted hug grabbed her waist and did not let her go,” the affidavit said.

The victim notified a church employee after the second incident.

In a statement made by Antioch, the church said Wilborn was suspended from church leadership in April shortly after staff was made aware of the incident.

“We immediately notified the Dallas Police Department, placed him on leave and suspended his responsibilities on our church campus during the ongoing formal police investigation. Since that time, the decision was made to terminate Wilborn from his role with Antioch Church,” a statement from the church said.

During the investigation, Dallas police spoke with other church employees who said Wilborn had a history of being “too friendly” with church members and had previously been involved in an HR complaint, the affidavit said.

Wilborn also served on the Prosper ISD school board.

In a statement sent to parents, Prosper ISD said they do not believe the victim was a student in the district.
