In videos posted to Richardson’s Instagram account, Richardson says the argument began after she was asked by the flight attendant to end a phone call. In response, Richardson stated she did not like the tone of voice he had.

In the video, Richardson says the flight attendant “demanded” to see the phone was on flight mode, and instructed Richardson to stop filming the exchange.

“You’re harassing me at this point so I think you should stop, I think you should stop,” Richardson says.

The captain of the plane “elected to return to the gate and ask (Richardson) to get off the plane” due to the disturbance, a spokesperson for American Airlines told NBC News.

American Airlines says Richardson was reaccomodated on a later flight, and they are looking into the situation.

“Does the captain know the situation that happened before removing me?” Richardson says in the video when asked to leave the flight. “So do they know this man hands is all up in my face and he was very disrespectful and I felt threatened?”

In the videos, passengers on the flight can be heard disapproving of Richardson’s reaction to the argument. Applause is heard when she exits the plane.

A representative for Richardson told NBC News she had “nothing to add at this time.”

“If I can help just one person not have to deal with a situation like this with an individual like this, I’ll take the heat,” Richardson wrote in a caption on Instagram.
