According to The Polyphonic Spree’s website, the Dallas-based band is performing at the Longhorn Ballroom on July 15. The new album and old favorites will be played to celebrate the band’s 23rd birthday. More information about the spring lineup at the historic venue — whose ribbon cutting ceremony and re-opening is this week — is available here.

Shakespeare Dallas announced its Music in the Park lineup, and the final event is a special listening experience with The Polyphonic Spree.

Tim DeLaughter, the band’s lead singer, will “conduct a unique ‘Listening Experience'” of the album Salvage Enterprise.

That event is April 16. But leading up to it, Brandon Carr, aka “Cosmic Cowboy,” and Maya Piata will perform.

Carr performed at The Polyphonic Spree Holiday Extravaganza and will bring to Samuell-Grand Amphitheater “classic country tunes reimagined,” according to the event description. Piata, who has opened for Arlo Parks and Rebirth Brass Band, is a “soulstress staple” in Dallas.

Gates will open at 7:15 p.m. April 14-16, and sets start at 8:30 p.m.

Shakespeare Dallas performances will be at 1500 Tension Parkway, which is also where the organization hosts Shakespeare in the Park. The nonprofit celebrated its 50th season last year and recently announced changes in leadership, including a new executive director and search for a new artistic director.
