The Mayor’s House by Selda, a spinoff of Selda Mediterranean on Belt Line Road, is expected to open in December at the property, CultureMap reported.

A restaurant has been rumored to be coming to the house, which sits at 635 N. Zang Blvd., since early 2017. In 2019 it was announced Chef Graham Dodds would spearhead the restaurant opening, but he left the project later that year due to construction delays and “timing conflicts.”

Mert and Becky Tezkol now own the building and said they were “thrilled” to find “such a cool property” in Dallas.

The Mayor’s House by Selda will have a similar menu to the flagship location, with Turkish-style mediterranean cuisine, a pizza oven and a hookah lounge.

“There isn’t anywhere else that has this very good quality of food we have in Selda, and we wanted to bring that to Dallas,” Mert told CultureMap.
