Documents filed with the state show that Art House Tower is expected to house commercial units on the building’s first floor and 70 residential units on the upper six floors, mirroring a mixed-use model that has become popular with Bishop Arts-area developments.

Planned to span over 130,000 square feet at 305 N. Beckley, the estimated $18 million project will sit across the street from the Old Adamson campus. Plans for the restoration of Old Adamson are currently on hold due to “structural issues.”

The Art House development is privately funded, according to state documents, and will replace a car shop that is currently at the location.

Architecture Demarest will design the building, according to the DBJ. The firm has designed several mixed-use buildings in North Texas in recent years.
