Closing before Christmas is a thing of the past. According to the Tipsy Elf holiday pop-up bar, that is.

Originally slated to run through Dec. 23, this year’s Tipsy Elf pop-up will go down as the largest and longest season yet for the bar.  According to the bar’s instagram, the holiday-themed experience will remain open through Dec. 31.

“Our elves are hosting ‘A Very Tipsy New Year’s Eve,’ party to ring in the new year and close out one heck of a holiday season,” the Tipsy Elf instagram posted on Christmas evening.

Details on said New Year’s Eve party don’t seem to be available yet, but the Advocate will update this post once they are.

The holiday hot-spot opened Nov. 24 on Bishop Lane with three bars, each offering their own signature drinks, a moving bar serving shots and holiday-themed decor in every corner.

While the bar has grown in popularity each year, this year’s expansion hoped to fulfill the Tipsy Elf demand. Still, weekend nights often saw a block-long line of patrons waiting to get into the instagramable bar, so the extended opening will hopefully allow some of those dedicated patrons another chance to get in the door.

Here’s a quick overview of each bar from the Advocate’s stop at the larger-than-ever pop-up.

The bar inside of Casablanca offers “Lux” cocktails (might this editor suggest the “Mrs. Cookie’s Cookie”) and while the patio is decorated, seating is reserved for Casablanca patrons.

The iconic “Tipsy Tavern” has set up shop at Casablanca’s outdoor bar and decor extends as far as 9th Street. The area is semi-covered with plenty of heaters, but a coat would still be advised on chilly nights.

Tejas’ outdoor bar has been refitted as the “Sleigh Saloon,” where the “Abuelita’s Hot Coco” stole the show. Mezcal. Hot Chocolate. Sprinkles. Say less.
