Green Pet, a locally owned, all-natural pet supply store, has moved to Downtown Elmwood from Tyler Station, where the company relocated to in 2019.
Green Pet originally opened in Bishop Arts in 2008.
The new storefront at 1907 Balboa Dr. will allow the store to expand their product offerings. According to owner Leslie McKay, an Oak Cliff resident, the store also plans to start selling chicken feed and “small animal supplies” in the new location.
“We are truly grateful for the support of our Oak Cliff community over the past 15 years,” McKay said. “We pride ourselves on being a resource for the community for pet nutrition, health and pet ownership.”
At the time Green Pet opened, McKay said the store was filling the “total void of any kind of good pet food” in Oak Cliff.
Green Pet celebrated their Feb. 17 grand opening by hosting an adoption event for Dallas Animal Services.
