Just one month after a sold-out solo show at the Kessler, Joshua Ray Walker is hitting the stage again.

These one-off acoustic shows come after Walker’s recent cancer diagnosis, which forced the country singer/songwriter to clear out the next six months of his calendar.

I got the opportunity to speak with Walker about his diagnosis for the Dallas Observer, where he thanked Dallas audiences for being so supportive of him.

“I wouldn’t have a career if Dallas hadn’t supported me so fully over the years,” Walker told me. “If I’m gonna play anywhere I’m gonna play here, just to show people that I’m fighting as hard as I can.”

For the time being, Walker’s calendar will remain clear except for special outings like this. Tickets for his first solo set the Kessler on February 26 sold out in hours, I imagine this one will do the same. Get them while they last here.
