Color Me Empowered is offering art camps throughout the summer for kids ages 5 to 18 designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and nurture young minds.

Color Me Empowered is a 501c3 non-profit organization that believes in inspiring youth and engaging the community through artistic expression. The classes accommodate all skill levels including beginning, emerging, and advanced.

“Summer is the perfect time for kids to explore their creativity and develop new skills,” said Kristen Rice, Executive Director at Color Me Empowered. “Our summer art camps provide a fun and enriching experience that goes beyond just learning techniques. We believe in instilling a sense of belonging and community. We believe in helping children understand that they are worthy and that they belong.”

To register for upcoming classes, visit CME’s website. Morning classes are offered from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. and afternoon classes are from 12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Classes include ceramics, glazing, screen printing, animation, drawing, painting, and film photography.

CME offers summer classes at a discounted rate for students who attend Title 1 schools. Last year, CME was able to provide over 70 scholarships to their students, which allowed them to make great strides toward eliminating barriers and creating equity in the arts. Call (214) 434-1092 or email colormeempowered@gmail.com to inquire about scholarship opportunities. Donations are also being accepted to send kids to art camp.
