Hispanic Heritage Month kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 15, and there are plenty of ways to celebrate in our neighborhood.
Flamenco Fever
Just in time for Hispanic Heritage Month, Ida y Vuelta Flamenco will hold a wide array of events across Texas in September and October – from performances and paella-and-beer gatherings to the launch of the inaugural Texas Flamenco Festival.
The Texas Flamenco Festival will feature 10 events in October including three concerts and four workshops with legendary artists christening the newly opened “La Cantera Arts Conservatory.”
The Texas Flamenco Festival runs through Hispanic Heritage Month with 25 performances in North Texas and across the state.

Cockrell Hill Hispanic Heritage Month celebration
A celebration of culture and traditions will take center stage at Cockrell Hill’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.
Enjoy an assortment of food, on-going stage performances, and children’s entertainment. Admission is free.

Join AARP Texas, the Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico, and the City of Dallas for the first annual Celebrando Dallas Concert & Festival.
Bring family and friends and listen to a curated mariachi music experience and singers, watch the picturesque dance of the Ballet Folklorico, enjoy live DJ music, and participate in the live karaoke. Also, enjoy delicious food, crafts, and resources from different vendors and organizations.

Hispanic Heritage Month Fiesta
Join the Arcadia Park Branch Library for a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration. The event will feature local vendors and artisans showcasing traditional crafts and goods. Families will be entertained by the lively tunes of a Mariachi band, the graceful movements of Folklorico dancers, and the rhythmic beats of school drum performers. Additionally, interactive game stations will provide fun for attendees of all ages. There will be dancing, crafts, and food, fostering a sense of unity and appreciation for Hispanic traditions within our diverse community.
