In June, Dallas Police recovered multiple submerged vehicles from Lake Cliff Park. They have since released more information on the recovered vehicles.
Sources told WFAA that the vehicles were found as part of routine cleaning, which hasn’t been done at Lake Cliff in about 10 years.
According to the Dallas Police Department, the cars date back to the early 1980s and originate from as far away as Houston. All were either stolen or involved in a crime, police said.
Four of the cars, including a 1988 Hyundai Excel, a 1994 Acura Integra, a 1988 Plymouth Voyager and a 1982 Cadillac Fleetwood were stolen in Dallas. A fifth vehicle was involved in a robbery in Dallas around 2015 and three of the remaining vehicles were stolen in Plano, Grand Prairie and Houston. A ninth vehicle has not yet been identified.
