Elia Greek Tavern launched its grand opening in the Bishop Arts neighborhood last week, the restaurant confirmed.
It hosted a soft opening Thursday and officially opened Friday. Elia replaced Nora Restaurant and Bar, which closed in May and plans to relocate to another part of Oak Cliff soon.
The new eatery serves authentic Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, including fresh seafood, along with specialty beverages. Its cocktails are inspired by Greek mythology and use house-made syrups, a press release said.
As the finishing touch before last week’s opening, a local artist hand-painted a mural incorporating Elia’s color palette of blue and white.
Reservations at Elia are now available via OpenTable.
Elia Greek Tavern is located at 205 N. Bishop Ave.
