The neighborhood networking app Nextdoor released the 2025 rankings for the Friendliest Neighborhoods in Dallas with South Winnetka Heights on top.
The platform utilized analysis of community engagement to rank local areas by friendliness, affordability and overall quality of life. The list came out of the communities where neighbors are most engaged, supportive and welcoming, according to the press release.
For Dallas, the top five friendliest neighborhoods ranked as follows: South Winnetka Heights, White Rock East/Truett, Buckner Terrace, Woods – Sugarberry and Skillman Street.
The Nextdoor Friendliness Score ranks neighborhoods based on the positive interactions from each community which included posts with positive or negative tone, fulfilled neighbor requests for help or recommendations, posts expressing neighborhood pride or dissatisfaction, number of free items shared in For Sale & Free, welcome posts that receive responses from neighbors and neighbors promoting or recommending local businesses.
“When people are considering where to live in Dallas, they want to know more than just the statistics — they want to understand what it’s really like to be part of that community,” Kelsey Grady, head of communications at Nextdoor, said in a statement. “These rankings are rooted in real neighbor interactions, giving people a window into where communities are truly thriving.”
