Our city’s growing system of trails provide green space to walk, run, ride and hang out. But they need a little help sometimes.
This Saturday, June 6, is National Trails Day, and there are a couple of opportunities to get involved.
Sync yoga and the Dallas Off Road Bike Association are spearheading a cleanup and trail workday at Oak Cliff Nature Preserve from 9 a.m.-noon. Whole Foods Highland Park will provide a breakfast of coffee and bagels, and Pop Star Popsicles will bring afternoon treats. A group hike with the North Texas Master Naturalists follows the work.
Groundwork Dallas also is sponsoring a workday. They’ll start at 8 a.m. with a 1-mile hike in its eco wilderness classroom before breaking into groups to clean up the trail.
