A Dallas Police officer was taken to the hospital Monday after a collision pushed a patrol car off the road and into a creek.
The police car fell 30 feet into a creek near Westmoreland and Kiest around 2:15 p.m. after a pickup truck crashed into the car. The driver of the pickup fled.
The officer was taken to Methodist hospital and was in stable condition Monday.
Witnesses climbed into the creek and attempted to push the police car upright after the crash. KXAS TV obtained a video, below, from one witness.
It is unclear whether the driver of the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado hit the cop car intentionally. No arrest has been made.
