I’m pregnant with my first child — a daughter (barring any surprise appendages that haven’t revealed themselves). The prospect of becoming a mother is both thrilling and overwhelming with only one child on the way, so I can’t imagine the feelings of the 26-year-old woman who recently gave birth to quadruplets — all girls — at Methodist Dallas.
The hospital says this is only the second set of quadruplets to be born in its 80-plus-year history. Even more amazing is that they don’t appear to be the result of fertility treatments. Even natural twins are a rarity these days. The quadruplets ranged from 3 pounds, 3 ounces to 3 pounds, 11 ounces when they were born two months ago, and yesterday the hospital discharged them to go home.
The names of these sweet babies? Ashlyn Reise, Aumni Paige, Aspen Paityn and Anayah Reigan.
