Javius Williams, 20, is charged with murder in the shooting death of a 15-year-old at a Family Dollar store on South Beckley at Overton Friday.
A 15-year-old was shot and killed outside of a Family Dollar store on South Beckley Avenue Friday night.
Police arrested Javius Williams, 20, in the death of Braylin Alexander Martinez, who was found shot multiple times sitting inside a 2005 Nissan Altima.
Williams is in the Dallas County jail, charged with murder, and bail has not yet been set.
There were two other homicides in Oak Cliff last week.
Police were called to a home on Millett Drive, in the Wolf Creek area, at about 9:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18. Cedric Tolbert, 37, had multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital, where he died. A 47-year-old man was found dead on a sidewalk on Falls Drive, about six blocks south of Martin Weiss Park, before 8 a.m. Saturday. Police say he was killed by “homicidal violence,” and he was not identified, pending notification of next of kin.
