These Oak Cliff cyclists took to the streets and levees in 1983, and what a zany idea it was and still is, when you consider our city’s prevailing bike unfriendliness.

Our neighborhood fought for years against the Trinity tollroad, until it finally died just a few years ago. Now the Harold Simmons Park, expected to open in summer 2022, is finally doing what Oak Cliff has wanted for at least 38 years, “bringing together communities and nature.”
