The Dallas South Oak Cliff vs. Samuell football game on Thursday night at Kincaide stadium was canceled, Dallas Independent School District officials announced.
The game will not be rescheduled and no reason for the cancellation was given.
South Oak Cliff will wrap up the regular season next week against Thomas Jefferson while Samuell is scheduled to play Spruce.
After previously being ranked No. 2 behind Port Neches-Groves, South Oak Cliff recently moved to No. 1 in 5A Div II in the Texas AP high school football poll.
SOC is undefeated in district play with their two losses coming from non-district matchups early this season against two of the best teams in the state.
This season, SOC is looking to head to the state championship game for the fourth year in a row. They won back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022, and fell to PNG last year.
