One person died Saturday afternoon after a shooting in the Elmwood area of Oak Cliff, Dallas police said.
On May 24 at about 5:50 p.m., Dallas police responded to a call for service in the 1900 block of Berkley Avenue. The preliminary investigation determined that when officers arrived, they located an unconscious male victim in the alley, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and the victim died.
This ongoing investigation will be documented under case number 073693-2025.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will assist in identifying the victim.
