The 2025 festival’s theme is “Real Movies for Real Movie People,” and screenings will be held throughout Oak Cliff, bringing audiences to the Texas Theatre (serving as OCFF’s base of operations), the Bishop Arts Theatre Center, and the Kessler Theater for screenings.

Ss a result of the increase in submissions, an additional programming block for Documentary Shorts was added this year.

MFFL, directed by local filmmaker Sai Selvarajan, explores the Dallas Mavericks’ trade of Luka Dončić and the fandom’s reaction. For feature films, Street Smart: Lessons From A TV Icon, a documentary about Sonia Manzano, the first Latina to have a regular role on American television (she worked on Sesame Street), will kick things off.

The other opening night film, OBEX, comes from the co-creator of Strawberry Mansion, and follows “a boy searching for his dog through a living homage to ’90s video-game aesthetics.”

In addition to the films playing during OCFF, the festival will include opening and closing night parties, musical performances, and a VIP lounge (housed at the Texas Theatre).

The program for OCFF can be viewed here.

Tickets for individual screenings are available for $14 each and available at the door for each venue or online. Or experience the whole fest with a VIP Badge for $225 and gain entry to all screenings, music shows, and events for four days, plus special access to the Filmmakers’ Lounge.
