Located at 1200 N. Cockrell Hill Road, Joey Georgusis Park is a parcel of parkland spanning approximately 200 acres, just six miles west of downtown Dallas and easily accessible from I-30 and West Davis Street.

“Under the leadership of our Mayor and City Manager, Dallas took another big step to cement its reputation as a premier sports city,” District 1 council member Chad West said. “We approved a new practice facility for the Dallas Wings which fulfills our contractual commitment and brings long-overdue investment to Southern Dallas and West Oak Cliff. This step will transform an unused city-owned site into a world-class amenity for our community and reconfirm our commitment to professional women’s sports.”

The Dallas Wings has played at the University of Texas at Arlington’s College Park Center since 2016 when it rebranded and moved to the area.

Dallas first announced its 15-year deal with the WNBA last year, with an agreement from the city that it would build the group a practice facility. It was planned to be near the Memorial Auditorium with the Kay Bailey Convention Center, but was delayed amid the center’s tightly scheduled plans for renovations ahead of hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Wings, who recently added No. 1 draft pick Paige Bueckers, will continue to play home games at UT-Arlington’s College Park Center in 2026.
