Join Keep Southern Dallas Beautiful volunteers this Saturday, August 9 at 9 a.m. for a community cleanup of the Kiest Park, located at 3080 S. Hampton Road.Â
Volunteers must wear close toed shoes and socks to attend. In addition to wearing proper gear, volunteers are highly encouraged to have their own water bottle to keep cool during the hot summer weather. The Conservation Area is shaded, but overall the weather will continue to bring the heat.
Gardening gloves and other supplies will be provided by Keep Dallas Beautiful. The local nonprofit focuses on litter prevention, recycling, and beautification. Through its initiatives and renewed focus under Code Compliance Services, Keep Dallas Beautiful aims to educate and engage residents in Dallas about the importance of a clean and healthy city, according to the website.
