The annual Oak Cliff Art Walk returns this Saturday, Oct. 4 at East Dock from 3 to 9 p.m.

This in-person, free event provides the community the opportunity to be immersed in the local art scene and support artists, organizations and businesses of the community with 100% of art sale profits going directly to the artists. 

Typically held at The Oak Cliff Assembly, the event moved to a new space for their year’s gallery with the expansion of over 300 artists’ work along with more than 80 local businesses and vendors.

In addition to the submitted work, four local schools have created pieces for this year’s fifth exhibit.

This year’s presentation is curated by Cima Arts and is hosted by Proxy Properties.

Program highlights include DJ sets, flash tattoos from Bat & Cave Tattoo, drum classes, live art and music, live mural, a lowrider showcase and rotating short films about Dallas. 

​​Here is a preview some program highlights at Oak Cliff Art Walk Vol. 5:

  • DJ Sets from DJ Alaska from 3 to 6 p.m. and LA TAÍNA from 6 to 9 p.m.
  • Drum classes from Infinite Arts Movement from 3 to 5 p.m. in the new location of Kuluntu Bakery.
  • Live Mural painting from 3 to 6 p.m. will take place in the main parking lot by Kayla Jay.
  • Live Music by Jess Garland will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. located near the food vendors.
  • The Lowrider Showcase from the United Lowrider Association will host three to six cars from 6 to 8 p.m.
  • The Film Section will rotate De Colores, Behind the Strings and City of Hate.

East Dock is located at 900 E. Clarendon Drive.
