If you’ve noticed the new baby pink window trim besides Hunky’s and Alchemy Salon, then you have happened upon a new gift shop in the Bishop Arts District.
Kawaii Candle Co., founded by Cindy Aguiar, has a new home for gift shopping and candle making. The grand opening of the shop took place Oct. 9, with a packed house.
The store features hand crafted candles “inspired by the art that surrounds us,” along with knickknacks, prints and vases to bring the kawaii aesthetic into your home.
In addition to perusing the goods, Kawaii Candle Co. offers occasional classes, can be booked to host private events for candle making and can be found hosting pop ups throughout Dallas.
The store is open Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with the shop closed on Wednesdays.
