Ford’s Taurus car was redesigned by an Oak Cliff native

Here’s something worth knowing: The guy who redesigned Ford’s Taurus car grew up in Oak Cliff. The DMN reports, in anticipation of this weekend’s Dallas Auto Show and where you can take a gander at the new Taurus, that Earl Lucas attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, along with singers Norah Jones and Erykah Badu and trumpeter Roy Hargrove. Lucas joined Ford 10 years ago, and in addition to revamping the Taurus’ exterior, he also designed the interior of the Ford Flex crossover.
