If you want to hear what the District 1 and District 3 City Council candidates have to say for themselves, you’ll have plenty of opportunities this month.
The Elmwood Neighborhood Association will be holding its candidate forum tomorrow (Wednesday) evening at 7 p.m. The confirmed District 1 candidates who will be present are: Daniel Benchot, Justin Epker, Delia Jasso, Sean Paul Segura and Mark Gonzales; Jesus Lara Tovar is tentatively confirmed. The forum takes place at Elmwood United Methodist Church.
Next Monday night, March 23, at Methodist Hospital’s Hitt Auditorium, the League of Women Voters of Dallas will hold its first in a series of candidate forums, this time focusing on District 3 candidates. The 6-8 p.m. event starts with an informal meet and greet, then a debate followed by a question and answer session.
The Old Oak Cliff Conservation League will host the mother of all City Council forums on Monday, March 30, featuring the candidates from Districts 1, 3, 4 and 5. This event at Tyler Street United Methodist Church starts with a meet and greet at 6:15 p.m., with the forum following from 7-9 p.m.
