Vanessa Neil and Kevin Obregon are no strangers to the Dallas art scene — she worked for three years as the gallery director of Artizen Fine Arts on Dragon Street, and he is the former director of Nine Eyes Studio in Deep Ellum.
They are newcomers to the Cliff, however, and this Saturday the two artists (whose resumes also include fine art performances, boutique branding and design, and corporate art consulting) will open their new gallery on Tyler Street, The Cube Creative, in conjunction with the Oak Cliff Art Crawl.
Neil and Obrgon collaborated on several Dallas art shows before teaming up to open the Cube Creative in Deep Ellum in August 2008. Now, they have jumped with both feet into the Bishop Arts scene, agreeing to help coordinate and participate in the art crawl, and being asked to join the Art Conspiracy effort.
