Delicious: Cretia’s

THREE MORE PLACES TO SATISFY YOUR SWEET TOOTH

1 HULA HOTTIES CAFÉ AND BAKERY
Try one of their island-inspired specialties, like the lilikoi (passion fruit) cheesecake or the coconut haupia cake.

2 TILLMAN’S ROADHOUSE
The s’mores, great for sharing, are a customer favorite. The novelty of toasting marshmallows tableside is as good as the sticky sweet satisfaction.

3 NORMA’S CAFÉ
The pie takes the cake at this neighborhood joint. Anything with “meringue” or “cream” in the flavor is a good bet, but it’s hard to go wrong.

I wish I had read these reviews before I went. The waiter does talk your ear off. I think he sold used cars in a prior life! We ate stale cake which we overpaid for. The place felt like it didn’t fit. The sadest part of all is that we walked around the corner to Hula Hotties and were in shock! That place had a wonderful personality and the baked good were beautiful and fresh. I only wish we had found them first. We know where we’ll return to!Q

This place once had the most wonderful atmosphere until they decided to go solo. There is no way that the cake is fresh. Once your in there the server talks your ear off. We think it’s to distract you from noticing how bad the cake really is. He will also try to get you to go to their other location in Oak Lawn. Don’t waste the gas! There, not only is the food is bad, but also the service!

Who could go wrong with cookies and cakes? Cretia’s definitely has to change it up – this bakery is definitely the worse Dallas has to offer! We were completely disappointed! You hear people raving about this dump and we just had to check it out! Another sub-standard restaraunt for Bishop Arts! We won’t be back…You go in and get your ear talked off about how wonderful everything is and its nothing but cake drenched in butter cream frosting! Yuch! Its hard to believe that after 20 odd years they haven’t been able to get it right. We’re not fans and we’re passing the word. These people at Cretia’s need to get on the ball and wake up – The product you’re serving up is not the bomb…Your desserts are pitiful and your fan base have to broaden their horizons. We were surprised to read about this dump in the advocate they too must have lowered the bar. The Bishop Arts District keeps lowering their standards. Quite sad – we have lost faith in this area.
