A friend tells me that Casa Blanca, the new Tex-Mex restaurant at Bishop and Davis, is open. And until they get a liquor license, margaritas are on the house. "The food was pretty good too," the friend says. This summer, we were the first to report that owner Gina Lara was working on opening her second restaurant. And columnist Gayla Kokel reported in the August Advocate that the building, which most recently housed Grill 400, was the original Lone Star Donuts factory.
