Texas Theater to screen ‘Cry of Battle’ on Nov. 22

Maybe ‘Cry of Battle’ is not a great classic film. But the 1963 World War II movie starring Van Heflin and Rita Moreno is the answer to a trivia question. It’s one of the films in a double feature that the Texas Theater was showing on Nov. 22, 1963 when law enforcement caught assassin Lee Harvey Oswald there.

And this year, on the anniversary of the JFK assassination, the theater is screening ‘Cry of Battle.’ Spooky, no?

Tickets to the 1:30 p.m. show are $8. The other film, by the way, was ‘War is Hell.’
