Restaurant talk: Rush Patisserie’s cupcake in a jar

Samantha Rush of Rush Patisserie had a line four deep when I saw her at Cliff Fest last month. She was selling her "cupcake in a jar," in about five cake flavors. I got lemon cake and brought it to a friend who was feeling blue that day. The cakes come in a jar with a little spoon tied to the lid, and they’re $5.

My best friend bought one for each of her co-workers for Christmas presents, and she said, "They’re only $5, but they seem more expensive."
