This weekend: car show, art, skateboarding, movies, music

First Thursday is tonight, Nov. 4, in the Bishop Arts District, and there’s a car show.

“Loki” screens tonight at the Texas Theatre, and “Bonnie and Clyde” plays Tuesday, Nov. 9. Tickets are $8.

The Kessler Theater has bluesmen Lucky Peterson and Hunter Hendrickson Friday and Terry Allen Saturday.

The Art Chicas reception is Saturday from noon-2 p.m. at La Reunion TX. Art is a program wherein female artists mentor girls, and they create artwork on the La Reunion campus. A $5 donation is requested to check out their creations Saturday.

The Art of Skateboarding is from 7-11 p.m. Saturday at South Side on Lamar. Artists, including several from Oak Cliff, have created skateboards that will be up for bids. Tickets are $25, and proceeds go to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
