This weekend: New Year’s Eve dinner and parties

Zen Sushi has a six-course supper for $79 per person all weekend. Seatings are at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday-Sunday. Call 214.946.9699 for reservations.

BarBelmont is having a “hipster bash dance party”, which is free. Belmont Hotel guests get a free champagne toast at midnight and other freebies.

The newest Bishop Arts District restaurant, the wine bar Decanter, has a four-course menu for $40 on New Year’s Eve. For reservations, call 214.789.1296 or 214.948.0644.

The Texas Theatre is bringing it back to 1931 with a grand opening party on New Year’s Eve. Comedian Neil Hamburger is the headliner at 10:30 p.m., followed by a dance party with DJ Wild in the Streets. They’ll also have a vaudeville show starting at 7 p.m., featuring Ruby Revue Burlesque and the Singapore Slingers. Tickets are $25, but if you buy a $30 membership to the Texas, the party is free.

The Kessler has Centro-Matic, Slobberbone and RTB2 Friday night. Tickets are $25.
