This weekend: First Thursday, shop local, gallery openings, music, party, movies

Tonight, Feb. 3, is the Super Bowl edition of First Thursday in Bishop Arts.

Esty Dallas has a way for you to ignore the Super Bowl — a handmade trunk show called “All You Need Is Love”. The show and sale is from noon-6 p.m. Saturday at 1027 N. Windomere. Speaking of which, the winter sale at IndieGenius ends Sunday.

Artist Jo Dufo opens an exhibit, “Woman of Peace”, at the Davis Foundry Saturday from 6-9 p.m.

Studio 109 opens a group show, “Bloodstream”, from 6-10 p.m. Saturday.

The Kessler Theater has a series of concerts, “Super Shows for the Regular Joe”, starting tonight.

On Sunday, there is free Super Bowl watching party at Texas Theatre. The Texas also is screening “Winter’s Bone”, which is nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Picture category. It runs through Feb. 10.
